My baby is three! I’m feeling all the feels because she’s my last. I threw together a simple fiesta themed birthday party because every bit of her is worth a big celebration! It was fun and colorful and happy and such a good day. (I have to be honest…I chose the theme based on the dress she wore! I wanted her to wear this dress made by Nicaraguan artisans from The Humble Soles and it just screamed fiesta to me so that was that. lol)
Party Fun
We had Mexican food for lunch, naturally. I mean, seriously…any excuse to eat Tex Mex! After that she opened her presents which was so much fun to watch. She was genuinely thrilled with all of her presents. And she also made sure to rip every single piece of paper off before she would even react to the actual gift. Then we headed out to the backyard where we rigged up the cutest pinata. The kids took turns whacking it and to my husband’s delight, he didn’t get hit once. He was the designated pinata holder. lol
Decorations
The decorations were super simple and super cute. I used the pinata as a part of the decor as well as a small, gold “3” balloon. I taped a few paper fans to the wall which was a total booger. I tried multiple types of adhesive and they were all fails. Some didn’t hold good enough and the fans kept falling and then others held a little too well and peeled a tiny bit of paint off when removed. Yikes! The succulents and cans were my favorite, though. I bought a few cans of refried beans and enchilada sauce from the grocery store, emptied them and cleaned them out, and then set the cutest little succulents inside. It turned out so nice for such little effort! The cake was from Nothing Bundt Cakes and was soooo delicious. I’m not a cake person, at all, but I chowed down on this.
And she’s three!
How stinking sweet!! Love the theme too, gimme all the tacos!
