When it comes to things I like, I’m all about “go big or go home.” I tend to get a bit infatuated/enamored/consumed/obsessed, whatever you want to call it. I love all of it with all of me. lol I also love to share the good stuff so here you go: a peek at my current faves!
- Young Living Essential Oils
I could probably devote an entire blog to oils (and quite a few people have) because there is just so much goodness there. I bought a YL starter kit a few years ago because I wanted to move towards a healthier lifestyle but I have to be honest, I was skeptical and unsure about them. I remember the first time I used one. I was extremely nauseous, like mouth watering I’m about to vomit nauseous (and I hate puking), so I busted out the bottle of peppermint oil and took a few deep inhalations. Within two minutes my nausea had diminished to a tolerable level. A few more whiffs, and a few minutes later and it was completely gone. I just about pooped a brick. lol I was so surprised. It’s been a love affair ever since. My most used YL oils are peppermint for nausea, lemon for heartburn, and deep relief for tension headaches. (They, of course, have so many other uses and benefits but that is what I mostly use them for.) **My next post will have a recipe for an amazing all natural pain cream!
- Sonic ice
Oh my word, I love me some Sonic ice. Back in the summer of 2009 I was huge pregnant and ridiculously hot. I would drink water and then eat the ice that was left in the cup. My sweet husband took notice and went out and bought a bag of Sonic ice for me and brought it home. Did you know you can do that? You can. You can buy bagged ice from Chick-Fil-A, as well. It’s also awesome but not quite as awesome as Sonic ice. Sonic ice is small and perfectly soft. Yes, ice can be soft. It’s cold and crunchy, but not too crunchy, and delicious and just so dang satisfying! It’s also loud and obnoxious and my husband gets aggravated listening to me chomp but I just don’t care. lol
Okay, so I’m not going to go into too much detail on this one because I have plenty to say and it all needs it’s own blog post. I will say this: I am a truth seeker. I research everything, it’s what I do. With the internet there is so much information that is easily accessible. I think too many people follow blindly because they put complete trust in others that are in roles of “authority.” I totally get it because that’s what I did. Shoot, we’re supposed to be able to trust those people. The reality is that some we can and some we can’t. We should not stick our heads in the sand but instead open our eyes and our ears and our minds. It’s not so much the conclusion you come to about any particular subject, but more about being informed.
I have a few more that I want to add to my list but I’ll save them for another Friday. Or Monday. 😉
